Political background won't affect SUCCESS, new CEO stresses

Tung Chan, the incoming CEO of SUCCESS, wants to assure the community that his political background will not impact SUCCESS's mission and operations (story in Chinese).

Chan is set to be in office as of November 1. Chan is a senior member of the federal Conservative party.

SUCCESS also has a new chair, Ken Tung.

Chan emphasized that SUCCESS is politically neutral and will continue to be so. He plans to listen to as many people as possible on what SUCCESS should do, including how the organization should allocate fundings and what donors' expectations are.

Chan said SUCCESS is not a private organization and of course isn't his organization. He honestly hopes that his political background would not have any influence on SUCCESS, whether the influence could be positive or negative.
